Introducing my Sith Inquisitor OC: Aresyl Kallig!
A bit about her:
-Aresyl Kallig (known as Syl by those close to her) was at constant battle with her freedom. Even after being released from slavery, she had to fight for survival. After earning an apprenticeship, she continued needing to prove her worth, all while fighting off the consuming dark side. Aresyl fought and squirmed her way up the hierarchy until she earned a spot on the Dark Council, and still she seemed to be chained by fate to serve her oppressors.
-Aresyl *hates* the sith and everything they stand for. She was at constant war with the fear of becoming like those who abused her for so long. Despising herself and her position, she sat on the dark council, the highest symbol of the sith order.
-The thing that kept Aresyl going was the people of the empire. Although she didn't have a name for it at the time, she had a deep love and compassion for the people in need of protection. She might have been bound to servitude for the empire, but that was all right as long as she did it for love. She sat on the dark council not for her own pleasure, but because she felt obliged to advocate for those who couldn't for themselves. Someone had to do it.
I could go on forever and ever, but I better not if I want anyone to ever actually read any of this lol. I've had her bouncing around my head for years now and have been so excited to share her story.
If you're interested, I'd love it if you'd drop an ask!
Lot's more to come soon (about her, other OC's, and lots of art), but I'll let what that includes be shaped by interest!
#Ask me about the rataka machine's effects on her#I didn't think I could be concise enough to include it here lol#thanks to anyone who might actually get this far#ily#I love seeing other's oc's so I thought maybe it was my time to give back#I don't know how many people will care#but I'm sure there are some out there#ok I'll stop rambling now#oc: aresyl#my art#swtor#my ocs#my posts#my swtor ocs#star wars#sith inquisitor#reigrace art

Eight's status as the "reserve" Cipher of the bunch means he mostly gets called in to finish what others started if they're left unable to or are incapacitated, but as a consequence of it almost never leaves Dromund Kaas because he spends so much time waiting for those potential orders, which, usually don't arrive considering the skill level of his counterparts. So, he's left to do busywork that doesn't require him to commit and can be abandoned fairly quickly on a whim in case of emergency, but most of these consist of one-off assassinations that take at most a handful of days to complete.
As the backup of the bunch, he's fairly forgotten, if not seen as secondhand leftovers-- there's arguably others with more refined skillsets than his, and he lacks the prestige that comes with commissioning a shinier, newer potentially sacrificial Cipher who actually does fieldwork instead of wetwork. He's not desirable in his in-between state, and he's earned his share of ire from the Dark Council simply for his long career and continued use. But it's these things that make him a unique footnote in Intelligence's roster, if not more privy to the secrets of his fellows than most others.
His shadiness certainly doesn't help him make allies in his own division though, and other agents are downright hostile for having him "steal" their missions; if it's not your own incompetence you should blame it on, there's always a strawman. ...One in a bloodied coat with a bad reputation.
#swtor#oc: orradiz#he has a complicated relationship with DK. it's home. it's haunted. it's his cage#and that's probably a greater metaphor for intelligence as a whole isolating him from any kind of actual life#even unintentionally it divides him from connection and he's just a shadow to someone else#if you asked lokin about him he'd probably stroke his chin and say he's an odd one that you wouldn't want to rub off on you#anyways im not sure if i ever talked about his actual cipher status so here's the short of it#it's really interesting how he started from a nine expy and turned into his own thing sjskslel#intelligence: this is our stinky backup cipher we boo him every time he comes out and we like leaving him outside in the rain

I know I've said it in discord convos and such but all things considered I think Issie made it out pretty well from the update.
She got some much needed skin & hair texture updates. Even some of her facial features & scars seem a tad more defined.
(I know I know, in terms of being a miraluka main the character updates didn't have much to f-up on them, so I'm not really one to talk on the update)
#swtor#swtor oc#miraluka#oc: Isadola Ardeen#swtor 7.6#Issie needed those textures#all things considered Im happy with the result.#might dust off one of her alt runs and take a few more updated shots of her that way#at least until the new story update eventually drops#also yes the first thing I did was run Lana's date night to see the new textures up close why do you ask?#might post some of her updated “maskless” shots later#or as maskless as she can get in game

Our of curiosity about Vestra and Lana. Why did they decide on Vestra carrying their first child. I know most fans of your work joke about the 'oh god that's a possible trainwreck considering hormones and Vestra's Vestranesss'
But I'm curious how they'd come to that decision, was Lana not able to carry for some reason in your hc? (Be it temporarily or permanent) Or did Vestra really want to carry?/Lana didn't want to? Some other reason?
ahh very good question and perfect chance to straighten out my thoughts. thenk nonny!! (also i love the term ‘vestraness’ lmaoo)
To start, I must first present: GRAAAANDPAPPY KHEM VAL!!!!!!!

Ok but seriously, I’ve written the jokey thing where Khem’s the first to broach the subject of children right. It’s been years and I’ve tweaked things since then (mainly Khem’s mindset), but that’s actually, really the start of it.
He doesn’t just plant the idea of children in their heads, it’s the idea of a lineage. He emphasises heavily on Vestra being the legacy of Kallig, and her responsibility of continuing their bloodline, which he deems worthy of keeping alive. (After all, despite being defeated in the end, Kallig was regarded as ‘the most dangerous of my rivals’ by Tulak Hord.)
Both Lana and Ves don’t care about bloodlines - in that Kallig’s blood must be passed down. But (funnily enough) it ended up being one deciding factor among a couple of others.
Lana doesn’t have some great Sith heritage, being the child of regular citizens. But she was raised in a society that places great importance on Sith legacies, so while she is glad to have a child anyway, she does see how ‘meaningful’ it would be for Ves to carry the child.
On the other hand, Ves is dismissive of the idea of continuing a bloodline she’d never even known before Lord Kallig himself slammed her on the floor like a fucking toy. She kinda hates it when Khem talks about bloodlines like that, but then Lana mentions the child won’t be Kallig’s. It'll be hers.
What eventually warms Ves to the idea of carrying is that, even if she would continue a legacy, it wouldn’t be in Kallig’s name. It’ll be Lenshe - for her father. Her non-Sith father who held her when she was scared as a child, who snuck her his meagre rations even when he was starved thin working in the mines. She’ll have children out of love, as she was raised, not out of Sith duty and obligation.
Also by this time, Ves would’ve progressed much in her Mental Health Journey™ and has a more sustainable workload in the Alliance (vs in the Empire), so she is mentally and physically in a better place to focus on carrying the child to term.
(+ additional point I’ve not decided on yet: Ves’ spiritual healing may or may not weaken her power in the Dark Side of the Force. If it does, then Ves will probably volunteer more readily because she recognises Lana can better protect her if someone does come after them during this vulnerable period.)
I also hc that Lana is…not…completely comfortable with the idea of being pregnant? Like, Vestra is totally able to talk her into it, and she would happily do it for her wife, but she would prefer not to if possible. (Ves carries both their children!)
Also also, I’m using sci-fi science-y stuff to let the children be of their DNA, so the minutiae of whose blood is being passed on is honestly just a matter of semantics and traditional (outdated?) beliefs. But they do discuss it in my fic canon, and it goes along this bloodline angle SO. There ya go!!!

Hey there, just wanted to pop by and say how much I love all your posts about various SWTOR NPCs and your headcanons for them! Your posts, and those of some others, have inspired me to write my own little set of headcanons for an AU that’s always been in my head
Also, if you are still accepting asks about NPCs, can I ask about Lieutenant Kieral and Captain Biron, as well as their respective Sergeants (Katcho and Ennlicher) if their paths differ?
Thank you so much for this!
I will absolutely accept inbox asks!
That planetary storyline on Hoth is definitely memorable. I'm rather surprised that none of those characters appear on my massive NPC spreadsheet. We don't often meet Imperials who are reasonable and honorable on the Republic side.
I've added them to the sheet, and now i have to decide which of my Republic-side OCs encounters them, and if any of those characters are still alive.
Biron definitely seems like the type who might join the Alliance, doesn't he? Maybe Kieral, too.
My answer feels insufficient; so here's the letter i got from Kieral when i ran through Hoth with Corellan.

Thanks for the ask!

Writing is hard when you have only one functioning brain cell and on top of it you share it with someone else. But sometimes stars align and you find a questionnaire about two original characters and their relationship and one shared brain cell is all that you need. —Jukkari
@jukkaricity and I stumbled across these OC Ask Game Prompts from @\whoiskt and thought it'd be fun to give them a try. Took us a while, but here they are at last! Jukkari wrote for Erin and I wrote for Tahr'rys. Have fun reading through the interview
──────────────────────────────
How did they meet? E: Found him on a ship of one of my contacts. He looked like a stray monkey-lizard. All boney and rather worse for wear. He wasn’t really doing anything. Didn’t even speak to me, just stared? Like a creep. He kind of still is. T: I'd rather not revisit that particular day. [low exhale] She came aboard Neo’s ship mid-rant. Barking at a droid hauling half a scrapyard. Found me. She didn’t flinch. Exactly knew what I was. Same as her. A Sith.
How long have these two characters known each other? E: I’d be careful with this “knowing each other” thing. But it’s been a while since I’ve known he exists. T: For far too long. [frown deepens]
What were their first impressions of each other? How does that compare to their impressions of each other now? E: Creepy. Really, really creepy. Rather underbaked too. I’m not gonna lie, he still looks like he hasn’t seen the light of day in about a million years, but you should have seen him back then. I thought that Neo stooped down to slavery or something when I saw him on the ship. Tho now that I think of it, I’m not sure if anyone would want to buy him in that state. I probably wouldn’t take him for free. T: Loud, impulsive. Addicted to fire, droids and machines. Could be deranged. Could be brilliant. I couldn’t tell. Still can’t.
How would they describe each other if asked? Physically? In personality? E: Stiff like icicles on Hoth with humor as dry as Tatooine’s desert. He doesn’t speak much, doesn’t really have body language to work with either, I swear your average DUM droid has more personality in its circuits. He’s also tall. Like a different weather up there type tall. He can speak with a Wookie face-to-face type tall. I hate him. And his dumb orange glasses. He refuses to tell me where he got them. Arsehole. What was I talking about? T: Small. Sassy. Constant motion. Leaves trails—oil, crumbs, static. Dirt follows her. She’s clever. Borderline feral. Annoying, a menace. Doesn't know when to quit for her own sake.
Do they get along? Why or why not? E: He comes around with jobs lined up and always pays up. I’m gonna get along with him for this. He also usually leaves me alone to work on my projects and doesn’t complain too much when the explosions get bigger than advertised. Which is pretty good actually. T: [low exhale] Apparently. [rubbing his eyes] She’s useful. Doesn’t lie to me. Doesn’t ask questions. [a pause] And she always leaves. Eventually.
Do they have any shared interests/hobbies? Do they ever do these hobbies together? E: He cooks. I eat it. Whether he wants me to or not. I guess this counts as a shared hobby, no? I mean I charge him less because of the food. He should be grateful. I also fix his ship when he can’t do it himself. This counts too, probably. Other than that? Stars no, can you imagine? Like… gardening. Or fishing. You just stand there. Doing nothing. For hours. Nope. Couldn’t be me. T: First time she boarded, she fixated on my vivarium. Plants. A few lizards. Thinks I don’t notice. But on long flights, when it’s quiet, she watches them. For hours.
How often do they see each other? Where do they usually meet? E: Every so often, it depends on the season. If he’s got a job for me, he knows how to find me. T: When she’s needed—backup, repairs, supplies… We call. She delivers. Rishi, my ship or Mek-Sha.
How do they communicate with each other? Are there any recurring phrases or gestures unique to their relationship? E: I wouldn’t call his half sentences communication, really. He usually calls when he’s got a job for me to do. Usually involving explosions or managing machines. He’s got a speech ready and all the details lined up. He’d stuff it into a dossier if he could, I’m sure. T: I treat her like anyone else. She gets instructions. I don’t repeat myself. If she dislikes my tone, the airlock’s always an option. [low exhale] And she mocks me. Constantly. I allow it. To a point. She’s a pest. Useful, though.
What is one quality they have in common? E: Hard to kill. Like cockroaches. And like a cockroach infestation, he comes back every now and again. Usually, when I least expect him to. T: Persistent. Resilient. No matter the odds. Neither of us dies easy. Stars know I’ve tried.
What is one major difference between them? E: I have a personality. I mean it. But also I am not sure where to start to even pick one. He needs his silly little routines and a million excuses for everything. Reasons, explanations and motivations. All a load of bantha dung if you’d ask me but try to get him to understand sometimes things just happen for no reason and he’ll short-circuit. T: Humour, composure and the ability to think three steps ahead.
Does one act as a narrative foil to the other? How so? E: I have better things to do than fold myself into an origami to be quite anything in relation to him. Give me a break. T: Never.
Do they have any affection for each other? How do they show it? E: Ewww… No. Ancestors, where did this one even come from? We have a nice, clean, working relationship. T: Affection? No. Don't make me laugh.
Do they have any disdain/contempt for each other? How do they show it? E: Hmmm… I don’t think so? I mean I don’t get the guy. He’s weird, he works in an entirely different way than I do. He makes no sense to me and how he looks at the world could as well be upside down from what I’m seeing, but contempt? Nah, not really. T: No. She’s intolerable, not contemptible. There’s a difference. [low exhale, rubbing eyes] I don’t despise what I don’t understand. I assess it. Then decide.
Do they share the same goals in life? E: Goals in life? I’m not sure what you mean. I’m kidding, I’m not that stupid. My goal in life is to herald RJ’s reign of terror. Just joking. Maybe. Or not? He’d make a great emperor, actually. But maybe a voice modulator would be needed for that first. Binary is not great for giving orders. And Mr. Tahr’rys here? I have no clue what he wants to do with his life. Maybe become a first person to turn into a statue while alive. T: No. We don’t. Erin chases sparks. I’ve learned to stay away from fires. As for what I want… I know what I won't return to.
Do they trust each other? Why or why not? E: On a job? Sure, why not, it’s both our asses on the line. So far, he’s only proved to be reliable and good to work with. Otherwise? He does not strike me as a deceiving-betraying type, but trust is a rare commodity and if I can’t turn it off with a remote switch, I won’t trust it. T: Erin’s honest—in her own way. Doesn’t pretend to be anything she’s not. That's more than most.
Is one of them keeping secrets from the other? Why? How would they react if the secret was revealed? E: I wouldn’t call it keeping secrets. We just don’t talk about what happens between the jobs. Probably best if things stay this way. If we had to talk about it? I don’t think he’s in any position to judge. And I mean, we’re both Sith. Ex-Sith, I suppose. Either way, you don’t really get much worse than this when it comes to nasty, dirty secrets. And I’ve had more than enough of those to last 5 lifetimes. T: She’s ex-Sith, ex-Imperial. Whatever secrets she keeps, not my concern. I’ve seen the same and worse.
Are they keeping a secret together? How do they feel about that? E: There was this one on Nar Shaddaa... oh stars. Ewwww. No. We're not talking about it. T: Yes. Nar Shaddaa. A file, mislabelled. [pause] I’ve seen war. Death. Been worse. But that… what we've found... [quiet exhale, jaw tensing slightly, a faint blush creeping in] …was gross. I don’t take jobs there anymore. Or speak to Hutts.
Do they view their relationship as temporary or permanent? E: It’s permanent until it won’t be. Probably one of us gets themselves killed. I bet on myself to be honest. Explosives would do that to a person. T: She’ll vanish eventually. Or combust. I’ve stopped predicting which. For now, her teaming up is… welcome.
Are they satisfied with their relationship? Do they wish they were closer/more distant? E: Honestly, he could come around more often; he’s a sure paycheck. T: If she weren’t so insufferable, I might… [pauses, eyes flick to the side] …Relah likes her. Relah intervenes: Don’t trust his words! Those two idiots stick together like kriff to a blanket!
What is their best memory together? E: Explosions… well I get a lot of explosive opportunities with him, so I don’t think those count. But, actually. There was that one time. Weirdo arrived at my workshop on Rishi. Said the ship needed an overhaul. I’d say he needed a new ship all together, but hey not my circus, not my monkey-lizards. Either way. It was a massive job. Had to take half the hull apart. Anyway, they were grounded for days. I had RJ run the diagnostics so I showed Relah around. We visited my favourite crab - Darth Calvaria. He wears a skull as a shell? He didn’t seem too keen on making friends so we had to chase him across the island. Turns out he owns a whole pile of skulls. When we got back Tahr’rys was cooking some fish. And some crabs. Apparently they didn't get along. And then we got drunk. He fell asleep. I think I still have the recording somewhere. T: [long pause] Rishi. E1, my ship... needed repairs I couldn’t manage alone. Structural. Deep systems. Erin’s place was closest. Remote. Off the grid. Quiet. She said it’d take days. Longer, if I hovered. Second day, I tried fishing. Thought I’d be productive. The coast crabs disagreed. Aggressive things. Ended up dinner. So did the fish. Relah and Erin disappeared for hours. Came back sunburnt, smug. Refused to explain. RJ was with them. It always is. We ate by the fire. Waves lapping at the shore, steady, loud. The air was warm, smelled of salt and cooked food. The sun had already set. Both women liked the fish. Erin enjoyed the crab, even said thank you. Sort of... It got dark, the stars were... everywhere. Later, she brought out some liquor. Expensive stuff. Good burn. I—[low exhale]—I fell asleep. And apparently, I snored. They still think it’s funny.
What is their worst memory together? E: The day I met him. Ha! Joking, just joking. There was this one job on Mygeeto we did? That place is miserable on a good day, cold and barren, but full of crystals? At least the locals were pretty friendly. And cute. Anyway. We were on that job, trying to get to that weird vault deep into the crystal cave or some such place. I mean, how was I supposed to know that setting off 3 baradium bombs to loosen up the hinges would also damage the cave's structural integrity? It took us like 2 weeks to find another exit. He didn’t complain. But I think he really wanted to stab me. T: Mygeeto. [long pause, slow exhale] Two weeks trapped in ice and crystal because SOMEONE detonated baradium IN an unstable cave. Repeatedly. Erin called it improvising. Relah took her side. Both yapped. Constantly. It was… taxing.
When were they the most vulnerable with each other? E: He knows where to find me without calling ahead of time. Which is fine. But. This means that he has stumbled into my workshop during the creative binge more than once. And when I say creative binge, I mean, I slept for 2 hours the whole week, ate a granola bar 3 days ago and haven’t seen the sun or spoken to a flesh-person in more than a month. These usually end up with my best results, but I’m also… not at my best personally at the time. Honestly, I’m surprised he keeps coming back. Must be really desperate. T: Vulnerable is… overstating it. Naos III. The flu. Relah’s idea. Had to call Erin. Wasn’t ideal. [pause] She found us half dead. Saw enough. More than enough… [stops midsentence]
Do they have any mutual friends? Mutual enemies? E: Well, there’s Relah, but I’m not sure we’re friends? I like her. Does she like me? No clue. I hope so? Well, she likes me more than Weirdo here, but that’s a low bar to pass. Not sure how she stands him on a more regular basis, but she’s fun! Mutual enemies? I wouldn’t think so, we usually hang around different circles and when those overlap? Usually, there’s no enemies left behind when all is said and done. T: Relah tolerates her. Possibly enjoys her company. [eyes flick to the side] They've bonded. Likely at my expense.
How do these two interact with each other in public versus in private? E: I suppose there’s not much of a difference? I don’t really care about the public. Who cares how I interact with him? Well, okay, I suppose it’s more fun to annoy him in public. More opportunities for it, too! Alright, alright, I might tease him a bit more when there are other people around. That’s a lot more fun. And a lot less suicidal. On a job, tho? I’m willing to follow his plans if necessary. He doesn’t get that otherwise. T: Public means witnesses. Fewer options. [eyes briefly glint] Privately… fewer rules. The results may vary.
If a stranger saw them together, how would they describe their relationship? E: We’re… business partners. But I suppose it might not look like it from the outside? Probably some insane opposites attract kind of deal? I don’t know. Don’t really care either. T: Misreadings are common. I don’t correct them. Some say handler and asset. [jaw clenches] Once—father and daughter. That Rodian didn’t walk away clean.
How would these characters react to being stuck in a small room with each other? E: Unfortunate, not enough space to hide when his patience runs out. Could be fun. How small is the room? Do I have my tools? Do we have to talk to each other? Is there food? These are all very important questions. Do I get to have RJ with me? Wait. Can I be locked up with Relah instead? I bet I could get her to share some stories about their work when I’m not around. T: Trapped. With her… excessive energy? [pauses] Stars, no. Cruelty should have limits.
How far would they go for each other? Would they risk their own lives for each other? E: He does have a good taste for jobs, never boring. So I’d be willing to make sure he makes it out for my future benefit. T: [nonverbal muttering] I shouldn’t. I have. And likely… will again. She makes it difficult not to.
[Bonus] Do they have a romantic relationship going on? E: He does. But not with me. T: [stares daggers at her] E: [points at T, takes a deep inhale] REEEEELAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! T: [chair topples over, lunges after her] Get back here you little... —cue screaming, chasing and Relah laughing in the background

NPC Sunday. NPCunday? (we're no longer Sunday but that's alright)
I'll do this for Maverik'a! Thank you for the tag! @cinlat
What kind of NPC would your character be? Where could you find them?
Morally grey Jedi with authority, helping the MC in her own special way. I kinda imagine this as an AU where she never became the main character, she'd probably be on her own after the KOTFE stuff. You could find her anywhere, but probably more near Jedi interest zones.
Merchant - what would they sell?
Probably lightsabers, a few Jedi armors and at the very end a speeder 👀 as a treat lol
Quest Giver - what's the quest? One off or chain? The reward?
I could see her having a similar role to Satele Shan, like a Jedi with authority giving insight on the MCs missions. Even temporarily becoming a companion to help out. The reward is either a lightsaber or a special companion's gift
Companion - How do you unlock them? Do they have a specific companion quest line?
Honestly it would be like Jolee Bindo in KOTOR (or Senya now that I come to think about it), you randomly come across her, not thinking much of her but then you discover she's actually one of strongest force users in history. She'd probably want to join you cuz she's been in a hiatus and wants to help out again.
Rrrrrrromanceable? 😘😍💘💌⚘️🥀 What's the reward?
There would be like two [Flirt] options but she wouldn't be romanceable, she'd mostly ignore you or laugh at your attempts to seduce her. Kinda like trying to flirt with Senya, she's more mature than you, had more experience than you and finds it cute you think you've got what it takes to date her lol.
Regular NPC - what's their dialog?
oops forgot to tag (no pressure) : @aeskanera @fernfrond-inks @reigrace-keyboardjam @nekorinnie

The Sith Warrior class story on the light side was great! I finished it yesterday, and one of the best things about it was that not only did Fernie make some great friends along the way, but by killing Baras, he saved many more people from becoming victims of the Sith traitor. My guy puts a lot of value in his relationships with others he meets, something that Baras did not. Fernie hates how good people on both sides are thrown away by people at the top when they can't serve some purpose in some sick agenda.
Yeah, I saw you're posts!
Fernie seems like a cute little guy, so I tried to draw him lol
I learned it's kind of hard to capture another person's oc, but hopefully I caught his likeness well enough in this very rough sketch haha.
Anyways... I think Aresyl (my neutral SI) would totally agree! She prioritizes the people she loves above all. She was never in the game for gain and the culture of the Sith Empire absolutely disgusts her.
I also think Aresyl also tries to distance herself from identifying as a force user as much as she can, because up until meeting the best of the bunch as alliance commander, the vast majority of her interactions with force users were extremely negative. Aresyl despised the Sith for their abuse and greed, but viewed the Jedi as being no better. In her eyes the Jedi were snobbish, too busy with petty political fights, and focused on proving their superiority far more than they actually helped those in need.
So yeah, Aresyl wasn’t too fond of either side as well lol.
As for my Sith Warriors Alykaa and Hrafen... they were always a little too wrapped up in their own issues if you know what I mean. Alykaa especially- she was never able to fully break free from her Sith identify. Hrafen at least came around, but he still doesn't get full credit due to all the Sith antics he was still complicit to lol.

HI MARS. THESE TWO FOR BOTH SOLARIAN AND JUNTER PLS 🥺 29. one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart 30. one headcanon about this OTP that mends it
Ata I’m going to CRY these are about to be so good thank you pookems.
SOLARIAN 🧡❤️

29. The whole Nathema arc. Aside from Lana of course, Theron and Jed were as close as can be. It’d been years since they’d been a thing by that point. And losing him was a pain like no other. Jed put on a face about it, he’d say he knew Theron was going to come back. But deep down he wasn’t even sure that was true. He’s lost everything before, of course it would happen again.
They don’t sleep in the same bed for like three months after. Not because they don’t want to, but because of Jed’s own fear.
30. I have so many! Jed and Theron both taking time to recalibrate each others cybernetics — because they’re the best at helping each other. Theron kisses Jed’s knuckles every time they say goodbye. Jed being taller than Theron and picking his ass up to carry him to bed when he’s being too much of a workaholic. SHARING CLOTHES. Holding each other at night when the nightmares get to be too much. When Theron starts to get his grays, teasingly calling him a “Silver Fox” and using that as a codename.
JUNTER 💚🧡

29. Literally everything about them. The fact they’re rabidly obsessed with one another to the point of delusion. That secretly they both wish they could leave behind their respective organizations but they’ll never actually act upon that. They’ll nearly kill each other and then make out sloppy afterwards. But they’ll never address it. Everything regarding Onomonophobia. At this point in Jed’s life he isn’t built for stability, and Hunter is anything but reliable. They’re both crashing into each other, destroying themselves from the inside out and it’s horrifying and beautiful to watch.
30. While posing as Legate, they’d spar a lot. It was always hate fueled from Jed’s perspective whereas Hunter thought it was a ball. But afterwards, they’d quietly slump side by side and sit in silence. They could just get up and storm away. But when neither of them are talking (and boy that’s a rarity) there’s something oddly familiar about it all. They’ll even help each other up, before going back to their terrible ways.

this scene, and specifically this hug, shows so much character/relationship development that I'm actually losing my mind about it.
Theron spends so much time uncertain about their relationship (seeming to think it's just a fling after SoR, then doubting whether or not she wants to continue a relationship after being trapped in carbonite for so long, and again after infiltrating the Order of Zildrog) - and there's plenty of moments in KOTET and Fractured Alliances where he's terrified of losing Luci, which of course comes to a head when he reminds her that he made a promise to do anything to protect her/why he's such a workaholic, etc.
So, the fact that once they're engaged (married? unclear?), Theron can say goodbye to her simply with a quick hug and a cheek kiss, with complete and utter certainty that she'll be okay and come back - come back to him - says so much about how stable their relationship is, especially in the wake of Nathema. No dramatic "I love you" or promises to come back, no passionate kiss - just a casual, but incredibly intimate hug and cheek kiss that says "see you in a little bit"? I'm chewing drywall.
#nym speaks#swtor#i play this game for these two i sWEAR#feeling some way about luci actually ASKING him to come with her#that's been the theme of their relationship since ziost#one of these days I'll do an actual deep dive into Luci and her overall attachment style/her separation anxiety#i was considering trying to get scourge and kira back but no I think i need to stick to my guns about them not returning#for angst purposes you see#oc lucina thelanis#thercina#i'm too scared to tag theron. be gentle with me fandom lmfao

any particular significance to Eurydice's name?
Short answer? I've got an MA in Classics and anything Greco-Roman related makes me starting biting and seeps into every aspect of my life, including what I often name my ocs.
Long answer, if you don't already know the story of Eurydice, she's a nymph who married Orpheus, shortly after their marriage she was bit by a snake and died. Orpheus traveled into the underworld to get her back and sang a song so beautiful Persephone was moved and pleaded on behalf of them to her husband, Hades who then released Eurydice under the condition that Orpheus doesn't turn back. Well, he does and Eurydice is lost forever.
When naming Eury I wasn't as focused on the tragic love story aspect of the myth (which don't get me wrong I absolutely love) more on the tragedy of a character being forever lost and being so close the end but fate is a horrible and dangerous thing. She's ultimately a tragic character forever stuck in her duty and her past who despite being physically alive, feels so much closer to death because of the nature of her profession.

(A quick redrawing of Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot "Wounded Eurydice" using my oc)

Basic info
Name: Aubin Arye Gender: Male Pronouns: he/him Species: Twi'lek Homeworld: Ryloth Age: 34 Affiliation: Sith Empire (formerly Darth Nox), Galactic Alliance (Commander) Partner: Talos Drellik (husband) Family Tree:
Personality: Always calm and collected, Aubin may seem aloof and intimidating for others. He is set on his personal goals, but compared to other Sith, he's not clawing his way up ruthlessly, relying more on his cunning and connections. Is ambitious, bordering on workaholic. Due to his upbringing and background, he always insists on doing things himself, rather than relying on the work of others or droids. Has a firm belief that he's always right (up to debate), but doesn't have to always say it out loud. Aubin was always fascinated with history and archaeology, especially Twi'lek and alien heritage. Loves doing acts of service for people he appreciates. Questions authority and despises other Sith, with a few exceptions. Additional info:
Knows Ryl and Basic, sometimes his Ryl accent is more noticeable,
Is a vegetarian,
Has ear piercings (simple studs) made by his sister,
Has tooth gems,
Has slave collar scars that faded over time,
Has to wear glasses, but does that occasionally,
He's a Capricorn -- Links: Aubin + Talos age through story Update 5.10.24 Ship chart OC relationships&affiliations chart
